"Those who know me, know that I like to _________."
"Those who know me, know that I do not like ___________."
Anyone that knows Cary Hicks, can easily fill in those two blanks. However, can they fill in these blanks: "Those that know me, know that I ____________ Jesus."
This past Sunday I asked the Sunday School Class 'What do our lives show we believe about Christ?' This week I want each of us to think about that question. Think about how other people view your relationship with Christ. Do you have to remind everyone that you are a Christian, or can they tell by your actions?
In Mark 1:7,9-13 Mark discusses The Power of Jesus and how he overcame temptation for 40 days in the wilderness. Remember that the same power that helped Jesus overcome temptation will and can help us today. When faced with temptation, pray that God will give you the strength to overcome it and use scripture to help guide you along the way.
When you find yourself in a tough situation, reflect on some of these verses:
Hebrews 2:18
James 1:12-15
1 Corinthians 10:13
And finally, when you are faced with tough times and temptations, focus on the amazing power of Christ and what he has already blessed you with!
Remember to read your three Bible Studies for the week "He Healed the Hurting," "He Hung Out With Sinners," and "He Confronted the Religious." Our focus passages for this upcoming Sunday will be Mark 2:3-12, 15-17, 23-28. We will be discussing The People Jesus Knows: How did Jesus Relate to the People He Met?
Have a great week and keep our prayer request in your thoughts and prayers! Looking forward to seeing you all Sunday morning!

Cary, this is such a great idea! It's a good way for us to all keep in touch during the week, and be reminded about what our lesson was. I know I need reminders, because I tend to forget a lot :-) Thanks for setting up the blog!
